At TaraKart, customer satisfaction is our priority. We request all customers to carefully read this Refund, Return, and Exchange Policy before placing an order to ensure a smooth and transparent shopping experience.
Policy Validity – Return & Exchange Policy
This Return and Exchange Policy is effective from 01 January 2026 and applies to all purchases made on or after this date.
Customers may request a return or exchange within 5 days from the date of product delivery.
Any return or exchange request raised after 5 days of delivery will not be accepted, as per TaraKart’s defined policy terms.
This policy is implemented in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020.
Return and exchange eligibility is clearly mentioned on each product page to ensure transparency and informed purchasing.
Return Policy (Limited Items Only)
TaraKart does not offer returns on all products. Returns are accepted only for selected products, which are clearly marked as “Returnable” on the product page at the time of purchase.

Damaged products (received broken or defective)
Wrong product delivered
Manufacturing defects
Products damaged during transit
Mandatory Condition (Unboxing Video)
To be eligible for a return or refund, customers must provide a clear and unedited product opening (unboxing) video, recorded from the moment the package seal is opened.
Claims without a proper opening video will not be accepted.
Products NOT Eligible for Return
Personal care & hygiene products (face wash, creams, cosmetics, etc.)
Innerwear & intimate clothing
Beauty products once opened or used
Grocery & consumable items
Customized or made-to-order products
Products clearly marked as “Non-Returnable” on the product page
Important Notes (Consumer Law Aligned)
The unboxing video requirement is mandatory for processing any damage, defect, or wrong product claim.
This condition helps prevent misuse and ensures fair resolution for both customers and TaraKart.
This policy is framed in accordance with applicable Indian consumer protection laws.
Exchange Policy (Applicable on Select Products)
If a product is not eligible for return, TaraKart may allow an exchange, depending on the product category and availability, as mentioned on the product page.
Exchange Allowed For
Clothing (size- or color-related issues)
Footwear
Fashion accessories
Caps, beanies, and jackets (unused condition only)
Exchange NOT Allowed If
The product is used, washed, altered, or damaged by the customer
Original tags, labels, packaging, or invoice are missing
The exchange request is raised after 5 days from the date of delivery
The product fails quality inspection
Mandatory Original Item Condition (Important)
Only the exact original item received from TaraKart must be returned, placed inside the original box or packaging.
Do not send any old, used, or similar-looking product, even if it belongs to the same brand or model.
Sending a duplicate, fake, replaced, or different item will result in immediate rejection of the exchange request.
If a customer claims that the product was damaged, defective, or used during delivery, a clear and unedited unboxing video is required.
The unboxing video must:
Start before opening the sealed package
Clearly show the shipping label and seal
Be continuous and unedited
Claims without valid unboxing proof will not be processed.
Policy Enforcement Note
These conditions are implemented to prevent misuse and ensure fair resolution, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020.
Gift Items Policy
If a free promotional gift is provided with an order:
The gift must be returned along with the main product for any return, refund, or exchange.
If the gift is not returned, its prevailing market value will be deducted from the refund amount.
In case of exchange, the gift must be returned in unused and original condition.
If the gift is used, damaged, or missing, the request may be partially or fully rejected.
Refund Policy (Rare & Special Cases Only)
Refunds are issued only in rare and exceptional cases, after a complete quality and verification inspection.
Refunds may be approved only if:
The product becomes out of stock after return approval
Replacement or exchange is not possible
There is a severe quality issue or logistics failure directly attributable to TaraKart
All refunds are subject to final approval from the TaraKart quality assurance team.
Shipping Cost Policy
Shipping charges are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.
If the customer has paid shipping charges:
Forward and return shipping costs will not be refunded.
If free shipping was provided:
The actual shipping cost paid by TaraKart will be deducted from the refund amount.
COD charges, convenience fees, and handling charges are also non-refundable.
Product Condition Requirements
For any return, refund, or exchange, the product must:
Be unused, unwashed, and undamaged
Have all original tags, labels, accessories, and invoice
Be securely packed in the original box or packaging
Pass quality inspection after pickup
Failure to meet these conditions may result in:
Rejection of the request
Partial refund
Product being sent back to the customer at their expense
Final Authority Clause
TaraKart reserves the sole right to approve or reject any return, refund, or exchange request after inspection, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020.
How to Request a Return/Exchange
Log in to My Account → Orders
Select the product you wish to return or exchange
Raise a request within 5 days from delivery
Upload clear images and/or an unedited unboxing video (mandatory for damaged, defective, or wrong product claims)
Our team will review and respond within 48 working hours
Once approved, pickup or exchange instructions will be shared via email/SMS
Order Cancellation Policy
Orders can be cancelled before dispatch only
Once an order is shipped, cancellation is not allowed
Refusal to accept delivery may result in:
Deduction of forward and return shipping charges
Possible restriction on future COD orders
TaraKart reserves the right to cancel orders due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity (refunds issued where applicable)

Final decisions are based on:
Product condition
Unboxing proof
Quality inspection results
Misuse or abuse of the policy may result in:
Account suspension or restriction
Blocking of COD facility
